Shadows

Two small books, each with a single image.  The image in Shadows is a photograph of part of a three book set titled 1/2/3.  The  shadows made the image unusable as documentation but I liked the shadows so I kept it.

The tiny gelatin silver photograph that is the image in Lights was taken probably 30 years ago.  I don’t remember exactly, but think it must have been cropped out of a larger photograph.  I kept this fragment because of the way the light painted itself along the figure.

Both images sat silent in the flat file for years.  Both books are new, recently made.  I make work that is entirely new, of course, but it also seems to me that I’m now inclined to reclaim work that I’d allowed to be hidden away.
