Rosa

When he was very small, before he could walk, when our grandson Vincent came to visit, he was very interested in our cat Rosa.  Vincent would creep along after her and Rosa, who was also interested in Vincent, would walk at a pace that allowed Vincent to keep up with her.

When we visited over FaceTime  Vincent would always ask “where’s Rosa” and we would run around the house to find her and bring her to the phone so he could say hello.

I had often photographed Rosa when she was being elegant or curious or funny.   I thought that maybe I could use some of the photographs to make a book about her for Vincent.  When I looked through the photographs I found that they created their own story.  So I made  Vincent a book called Rosa.

Rosa is made in an edition of 2. 7 x 7 inches. Nine archival inkjet images printed directly on archival paper, bound with 2-ply museum board. 2021.
